Cyprien has 15 years experience in radio communications starting as a development engineer with MEL Communications responsible for the design of RF equipment for both civil and military radio communications. He has worked for period for Thales in the USA and France where he was responsible for research into frequency hopping techniques to optimise spectrum occupancy of large scale deployments. He was also responsible for the design of active multi-coupler systems for co-siting of radiocommunications equipment on various military land-based platforms to minimise inter-system interference and for adaptive antennas for interference mitigation in combat net radio systems. At ATDI, Cyprien is Managing Director responsible for the day to day management of the company in addition to the specification, development and management of existing and new products to enhance the company product portfolio. He provides expert support to many spectrum organisations, including Ofcom, ComReg and NPT (Norway) on modern spectrum management across the spectrum from 9kHz to 100GHz. He is also responsible for the technical content and methodology for all ATDI consultancy projects. Educated at Bristol University, he holds a BEng in Electronics Engineering and is a Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.

Torsten began his career with Deutshe Telecom AG in Magdeburg, Germany in information systems. At ATDI Torsten is responsible for technical support and consulting assistance to ATDIs customer base in central Europe including Germany. This work has included a project for the roll out of a UMTS project for German consulting firm Detecon and a WiMAX vendor comparison project requiring modelling of dissimilar WiMAX architecture and technology offerings. Torsten has an MSc (Dimplom-Informatiker) from Rostock University where his thesis was Comparing Ad Hoc Routing Protocols in Wireless Mesh Networks.

Torsten speaks German, fluent English, basic French & Russian.

Allan Roberts LCGI CISSP MIET

Allan’s career spans nearly three decades with the UK Armed Forces, serving at all field levels of military command as principal communications officer. Allan has experience in the design, deployment and management of a variety of mission critical information and communications systems. His responsibilities included deploying strategic voice and data links, digital trunk, tactical mobile and electro optical networks. He has also provided expert advice and consultancy on all HF/VHF/UHF/SHF radio and satellite communications, conducting site surveys and designing and delivering targeted training courses for other governmental departments, the latter being subject to both internal and external validation. He has informed the generation of customer requirements for several major defence communications projects adhering to the PRINCE2 methodology. Allan is PRINCE2 trained and has designed networks, project managed teams in the installation and subsequent acceptance testing of various radio communications systems. He has also been accountable for their budgets. In his duties Allan was responsible for a diverse range of equipments with a value of up to £75M.

At ATDI Allan is responsible for business development, engineering support and consultancy in Scandinavia and the Baltic States as well as ATDIs direct liaison officer into the British Armed Forces, for future requirements.

ATDI was established in Paris in 1991. Philippe Missud was a founder member. In his capacity as President of ATDI worldwide and Chairman of ATDI Ltd Philippe provides support and guidance to the group supported by 20 years experience in the radiocommunications business.
